SNL Fans: Here's Your Lineup for the First Three Weeks of the Upcoming Season

Anyone who's come here to knock SNL and tell me how unfunny it's been since insert-past-performer-here, save yourselves the time and energy and move right along. Nothing to see here.

Without further ado, here are your hosts and musical guests for the first three weeks of this upcoming season.

September 15
Seth MacFarlane, Frank Ocean

September 22
Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Mumford & Sons

October 6th
Daniel Craig, Muse

Make no mistake, Seth MacFarlane is going to be fun as hell. Joseph Gordon-Levitt was GREAT when he was on last time -- he's probably one of the more versatile hosts the show's ever seen and promises to be very entertaining this time around, as well. Daniel Craig...eh...not very opinionated one way or the other, to be honest.

Great job getting Frank Ocean...he's probably the biggest name in music from the past summer. Mumford & Sons are a great live act and Muse will be fine, so long as they don't play that godawful song they wrote for the Olympics

In other news, Abby Elliott is gone...and I don't think she'll be missed. I was getting tired of Samberg's antics, too. The show will definitely miss Kristen Wiig's presence, but I really like Vanessa Bayer and I think she's ready to step into that lead female role. I still don't know what's happening with Jason Sudeikis...I do know that I personally will miss him a LOT if he does decide to leave this season.

I'm really excited to see some new cast members this year...I also hope we get to see more Jay Pharoah! He's terribly under-utilized...overall, I think this season, if nothing else, promises to be a change of pace of sorts. There's still plenty of talent left on the roster and as long as they don't take too many skits off the beaten path (let's face it, they've been doing a lot of WEIRD stuff lately), it'll be an entertaining season.

Haven't really watched SNL consistently for a while now. Not that it isn't good or that I have things to do, it's just that I'm usually in bed by 11:30 now

Although Seth McFarlane and Joseph Gordon-Levitt sound like they are going to be good.

Was very sad to see Abby Elliot go actually, she was one of my favorites.

If Jason goes, it will be even worse.

Jay Pharoah should get an increased role, they all probably will including Taram and Vanessa. Might even see Seth Myers doing some skits again like he used to.

That does bring up an important question, though...will they continue to do Kardashian skits?

McFarlane, arrogant as he is, will probably be an excellent host. Gordon-Levitt should be great as before. I think Daniel Craig (has he hosted before?) will do a fine job as well.

Don't care much for Frank Ocean, and don't get me started on Mumford and Sons ... but they are big acts and will bring a lot of viewers. Don't even really care for Muse that much anymore, even though they are still the best live act I've ever seen. Ever.

As far as the cast ... how can you say you don't like Samberg? As much of a goofball as he is, he brought some awesome stuff to the show over the years. Kristen Wiig will be missed, but I agree, they've got lots of young talent to back-fill. Look forward to seeing more Bobby Moynahan, Jay Pharoah, and some of the newer "kids".

I agree that he brought some great things to the show over the years, but I also hold him largely responsible for the SNL Digital Shorts, which IMO have lost some luster over the past few seasons. For every "Dick in a Box" or "I Just Had Sex", there's a half dozen that are either redundant or don't strike me as terribly thought out. There are some that have literally left me scratching my head thinking, "WTF just happened?".

He's been a very important cast member and he's had some very memorable roles (his Nick Cage gets me every time), but I guess I just think I'm ready for someone new.

You know SNL hasn't been the same since so and so left but.....

I really enjoy MacFarlane and I only know who Frank Ocean is because he came out and it was reported everywhere. Looking forward to this show.

And for Abby...it still blows my mind that sperm from Chris Freaking Elliot help create this wonderful young lady.

I wouldn't have been able to pick Pharoah out of a lineup until the Stephen A Smith skit. It was great!

Samberg? Meh....His digital shorts were good but tailing off

I watched it rather religiously in the early-middle 90s when I lived overseas and it was replayed a week behind and earlier. I dont' think I have seen an episode in at least 10 years. I doubt I could identify any of the actors on the show.

What blows me away is that the three opening guests and the musical guest go right over my head. I have never heard of any of them. Shows what happens as you age and lose track of the entertainment world. I guess I have hit the 'old man' stage that I thought would never happen.

I really think they need to put JT on as permanent host. Even the episodes when he wasn't hosting, but made a guest appearance (Beyonce Night), were the absolute best moments in SNL history, at least in my opinion.

Don't think I'm in the minority on Elliot though, for everyone that doesn't like her, there are at least the same amount that think she was one of, if not the hottest girl on the show.

Actually like the Deschanel impression, it was supposed to be kinda annoying, thats the point.

I'm more interested to see what will happen if Sudekis leaves. I think they have a huge problem if he does, so many sketches they wouldnt be able to do (Miley Cyrus show, Wolf Blitzer, Underground Festival, maybe What's Up with That?) not to mention no matter who wins the election, he would be either Biden or Romney.
