Actually it was Tig, but a great line nonetheless

I'm still a little floored by last nights episode...and a little PO'ed. Would have rather seen any character outside of Jax die other than Opie.

I really thought it was going to be Chibs, after last season, his storyline with his family and past had all been wrapped up...
My second choice was Otto, and Opie wasn't even in the top 10 of my guesses!

No....
The line in the movie was "Who said that ? All I see is teeth".... /slap In other news “I started thinking about it in terms of that arc between Jax and Opie towards the end of Season Three,” he said. “And then I think it all sort of came together with the death of Piney [Opie's father] last year and I got to the end of that season and realized that there is this circular dynamic that was happening with Jax and Opie that I felt was very difficult to get out of in terms of where their arc was going. “As we came in to this season — this is really the first season that I’ve had to think about the end game — and knowing where I wanted to take my hero [Jax] and knowing how I want him to get there, the road that I want him to travel, I just felt Jax needed that emotional upheaval, that one event that happens in a man’s life that can change the course of his destiny, and I think the death of his best friend was that event.”

I guess what I don't understand from this week's episode is whether or not Jax had decided that the four of them were going to try and take out the guards, or did Opie take it upon himself to "volunteer" to be the one? Chibs hadn't done anything to warrant being killed, and Tig "couldn't" be killed, per Pope's orders.

Wow still can't believe after watching it just last night.....Opie was the dude, but I understand why he had to go, just didn't think Sutter would do it...wow really shocked me, funny but feels like I lost someone I know lol!! TV is getting damn real!

It seems to me he could care less about Tig as he told Tig he got him clear with Pope but told Pope he could do what he wanted with Tig because he no longer gave a sh*t. I think Tig might know something is up because he has been in the business long enough to know that Pope would not let him roam the streets free after doing what he did to Tigs daughter. Pope would be looking over his shoulder every day. Seems to me they are setting Tig up to take a fall for something. Jax obviously needs Tig for something first because he told him that he had to back his every move and never vote against him. That was the price for getting him clear with Pope. Even though he really is not clear.

Sutter also wrote, directed and produced the Shield. I consider the series finale of The Shield to be the best series finale of all time (including MASH). I can't wait to see the series finale for SOA but I'm loving the current shows as we move along. If you never watched the Shield, I can't recommend it enough. The Shield was every bit as good as Sons of Anarchy.
