Ewwww. FM is not the best method to move sound from your gadget to a sound system.

I'll let someone with more knowledge help but you need to find a better technology to do what you want to do.

Home or car?

If at home, and you love music, invest (a little) in any of a number of boxes that will let you do this, and do it better than from your phone (or still, do it better [better quality] from your phone.

If from your car, then yes, it's a different issue, investing in a deck that allows connection to your phone...

I just dont want to rip out my stereo because its an older unit w/o Bluetooth or an Auxiliary jack...

Fm is just disappointing, lots of interference, poor sound quality. You'll use it for a while and then feel bad for spending the money.
