When looking up the problem earlier I did read something about a connector at the top of the keyboard becoming loose or being pinched or something. Don't know if it's something the OP can look at or if it's just not worth the bother on a years old cheapo laptop.

Well my dad attached it to my TV via HDMI cord, and it woks fine on the TV. So he said its probably just a loose cable inside

I am just going to wait until january or so with tax return money and buy myself a mac. Will suffer using it on my tv for now

I've had the same problem. To be honest, it did it once and it pissed me off so I 'tapped' the screen with my fingers and it worked again. Not sh*ttin' you. Whenever it goes white, either tap the screen a few times, or move the screen forward/backward. I'm sure this is probably messing up my laptop, but that's what works for me.

yeah it is messing it up. eventually it's gonna snap somewhere on the screen and then make spider cracks all over the screen, know what I mean?

If the tape thing you do is working, go for it. But try not to bend it, cause like I said above, it'll mess it up.
