Thanks. Yes I know Florida well. We are open to anywhere really. As long as we can hit the beach in a safe neighbourhood with a high end place we are golden. We were planning a Beaches vacation but the $20,000 is a little much lol Recommendations welcome! :)! |
homeaway.com is what I use.

Recommendations welcome! :)!
Stay in the Ft. Lauderdale (nice and cheaper than miami).. rent a car.. it's less than a hour to south beach. Staying in broward also gives you only a 3+ hour drive to disney and opens up lots of nice golf in palm beach |

Great thanks I'll check it out. :)! |

Ty
I live in Lake Worth which is in Palm Beach County. I have lived in Coconut Creek, Boynton Beach, Delray Beach and went to school in Boca Raton. I personally will not travel south of Boca anymore. Its too congested, too many people that don't know how to drive and so on. My advice is to look in the Jupiter area, Palm Beach Gardens or Wellington. Jupiter would be closer to the beach but Wellington is not a far drive. If you want to party you go to Ft Lauderdale and Miami. If you want to Relax, you stay north of Boca. |
I actually need to find a place in NY for December 28 - January 1 lol

Just stay at Houdini's house...

I live in Tamarac (on the Coral Springs border)... it's just like any other suburb.. anywhere. The crap you were talking about only happens in places like downtown miami and A1A... you get west of US1.. it's just like anywhere else |

West is always best IMO. Not saying that things south of Boca are terrible but I noticed a big difference with the traffic and shopping. I am a Palm Beach county guy. Its just awesome up this way lol |
Check out vrbo.com as well. (vacation rental by owner). I have found a couple pretty nice rentals through the site.

Whoda thunk it |
Ive rented from vrbo.com 3 times in the past couple of years. Each time was perfect. Great owners with great homes. Im not sure what you consider high end but my rentals ranged between $4,000-6000 a week and there are some that run up to $10,000 a week. Id certainly check it out if I were you.

This. I used this to rent one of the mansions on brigantine island across fro AC. Also looked at several NC mansions for an unrelated trip. Homeaway.com is good too Nothing's gonna beat Castle Houdini though. |

Have anything in NY :)
I am more his neighbor than you, being in Sunrise... Where's MY invite? And, BTW, I agree that the further south you get, the more out of their minds the drivers are. I drive 595 every day to and from work and I don't know how I don't see dead people everywhere from all the texting, weaving, tailgating, speeding, crossing the lines, etc. maniacs. |

This^^^^ I got a beach home in San Clemente, CA through here a few years ago. Very recommended. My parents use it for Florida as well and usually go to Hollywood Beach (near FT. Lauderdale) Good luck - I love Florida!!! |
