Default Need help ordering at Chinese Take out place

I don't do chinese take out much but I know what I like.

I like those brown noodles that have that good sweet sauce on them and I want some kind of good sweet chicken with them. I like stuff that tastes sweet and americanized I'm not a big fan of different tasting traditional chinese food. So what should I order, how should I order it, etc.

I am also a plain eater I don't like all the vegies and stuff.

I much more like japanese food like chicken fried rice with teryaki sauce but the place I'm going doesn't have any japanese takout only chinese.

avjp87 once told me he enjoys a nice bowl of cream of sum yung guy on a cold evening from his local Chinese joint. I don't know if it's sweet though. You'd have to ask him.

ended up getting fried rice with sesame chicken and it came with an egg roll. only 2 things is I wish I would have had some kind of dipping suace for the egg roll and I wish the sesame chicken sauce was on the rice not just the chicken cuz the rice was kind of tasteless. the egg roll was great though first time ive ever had one. what are some good dipping sauces for egg rolls ?

They had that too but I asked the guy up front what he usually recommends to people who don't really know what to order and he said "roadkill special". I wasn't interested in that so then he recommended sesame chicken.

The noodles you were talking about could have been something like Lo Mein...but not entirely sure. Or some other variety, like udon noodles, possibly. Honestly, when I don't know what things are on a Chinese/Thai menu, I Google the name and then look at the pictures. That will usually give you a pretty good idea of what you will get if you order that item.

Have to go with Tso's, extra spicy! Or just walk in, say L10 and take what they give you...it's all the same meat anyway.

I think the noodles you are referring to in the first post are chow fun. And you're suppossed to put duck sauce, or chinese mustard on your egg rolls.

What you should do before you order take out next time is go to a Chinese food buffet and just try a little of everything. That way you can decide what you like without wasting a bunch of money trying stuff from carryout and end up not liking it.

I like to use the red sauce from sweet and sour chicken or duck sauce to dip egg rolls in.

Sesame chicken or honey chicken sounds like what you are looking for.
