Default Best tablets on the market...

Give me some suggestions......

Prefer to stay away from iPads at the moment, looking for something $100-$250

What do you all have?

With that budget, go with the Google Nexus Tablet.

I have an iPad, and use it ALL the time.

Asus TF201...keyboard
yes, you cannot afford a "good" tablet,so you may purchase this accessory and ponder what an entire product might be like

If I were to ever get a tablet I'd go iPad, just because they're very easy to use.

In your price range though, I'd say a blackberry Playbook would be pretty good. My brother-in-law and his family all have Playbook's and they seem to absolutely love them. Relatively inexpensive too.

My dad has a Playbook -- it is slow and clunky but cheap.

Save your money for an iPad - don't go cheap - it's better to get quality when it's only a couple hundred bucks

I have the $$, just not sure if its worth spending it. Especially since I may get the new iPhone that came out, so I wouldn't need that plus an iPad

The new Amazon Kindle Fire HD is REALLY nice and in your price range. Easily the runner-up to the IPAD. BTW, the IPAD mini, MAY come out soon and they'll be in your price range.

I'm guessing that'll be about the size of the Kindle?

Kindle Fire may be the ticket. A few of my relatives have one and they really do like it.

still rocking the Ipad 1st generation....just update and keep it moving. I find it strange when I see people taking photos with the tablet....I'll stick to the Nikon for pictures...

If you're getting an iPhone why wouldn't you get an iPad to go with it? You can easily share your files between the two and it just makes sense if you plan on getting iPhone and tablet.

Dead on. They compliment each other. Also not sure if you have kids but they have a ton of good learning apps for toddlers even. My 3 year old loves it. Problem is keeping her seated while working on it (hardwood floors).

iPad 3 here.

We bought our 2 year old the Toys R Us tablet thats coming out "Tabeo" but took it back right away, nothing compares to the ease of a iPad and apple store.

Not understanding this reasoning at all (as others have mentioned)

Why would you want things where you could integrate all your media and files as easy as could possibly be? Why do multiple steps on multiple items.

Iphone for camera, phone, and then just on the go.
Ipad for everything else.

All with all your media in the same place.

No brainer.

I think I've decided to go with the Kindle Fire HD and then get a new Droid, probably the Razr Maxx.

Only problem is I have the Droid X currently, and I'm un unlimited data usage til my contract runs out and I get a new phone. I am eligible for an upgrade, but I don't want to switch from the unlimited data usage to them charging you for how much you use. I've heard sometimes they do, and sometimes they told people they'd lose it but they don't.

Personal opinion inbound: Buying an Android device not supported with the Google brand is not the best option when it comes to Android devices. I liken it to if Nintendo were to start making Mario Brothers games for Sony or Microsoft. The game will work, but it'll work best on its own system.

Poke around with this link. My buddy has one (Network Systems Administrator), and he loves it.

Agreed. I think at the moment the Google Play vs. Android App Store thing goes to google. Even though I don't use the gps on my current tablet (still using HP Touchpad w/CM9), I like the fact that the Nexus includes it. I also like that the Nexus uses a quad core 1.2ghz processor over the dual core 1.2 the Fire HD uses.

Ahmen to that. I love my iPad and it almost completely replaces my laptop. I only use my laptop for papers and other school work.
