I finally caved and got a smart phone (wife has been wanting one for a while.

I had. Been using a blackberry for years and I would get looks like I was using dial up internet. Well I picked up a Galaxy III....there is so much stuff on on this thing I feel like technology has lapped me.

My brother in law was at my house yesterday (much younger and very much into tech stuff) . I tried downloadinv stuff into the phone but you need to have a google account....I ask my in law how many of his friends have google accounts and he says all do. He asks me what I used for email and I told him I use hotmail....he about died laughing. What I did not know is you cant even get a hotmail email anymore.

Again...technolovy did not only pass me by....it has lapped me several times.

I have a hotmail account and have had it since the late 90's.......are there other websites you can use for this new mode of communication? I've only ever heard of hotmail....

There's this new website called AOL. Great site, I have a feeling it will really take off soon. Sell those worthless Apple stocks and buy buy buy AOL!

I still use hotmail as my primary email account... had the same email for 11 years.

I've also been using hotmail for umteen years. Don't see any reason to move on to a new fad.
I even have 10 times more record albums than CD's. Actually, have more reel to reel tapes than CD's.

I can remember a day when I ran my own Wildcat BBS - 4 incoming lines too! Whoo Hoo! Then CompuServe came along and killed private BBS's for the most part. Then of course, the Intar-Webs blew it all up. Ah yes, I even had a 300 baud moden when I was a Tween!

I got a cell phone in March only because I wanted to get my wife one. Of course she is frugal so she picks the lowest price one. A Pantach and they were buy 1 get 1 free.

2 phones, 2 cases, 2 chargers and 2 sets of screen covers were $100 after company discount.

Killed landline after that and the data plans are the same price as the land line was.

Then I watched one day in horror as my 27 y/o daughter, my wife and a 70 year old friend of the family walked around my all with the "Ghost Viewer" app in use looking for ghosts.

I still use hotmail as well, I've just had it for so long and so many things of mine are tied to it and so many people know to get in touch with me there that I think it would be too much of a hassle to try and change it at this point
