I guess it depends on what you mean by what you're trying to say. If you're stating that there's no difference in the detrimental impact between organic farming and conventional food manufacturing, then:
Conversely, current organic farming techniques, including waste output, causes no more or less damage than that of conventional food manufacturing. If you're trying to say that organic farming is superior to conventional food manufacturing, so why bother trying to argue, then: Conversely, the benefits of organic farming techniques far outweigh the environmentally toxic excrement left behind by food manufacturers that use conventional processes.

OP, one thing you can always look at when writing - and you are not happy with how it reads - is to flip it. In this instance: Compared to conventional food manufacturers, organic farming treats animals the right way and puts less toxic chemicals in the environment. |
