Go to NY Giants game or go to work?

hmmm rough choice here

Buddy just offered me a free ticket, and hes gonna pick me up since hes out on LI and has to pass thru BK anyway (more or less).

Heres the dilemma, last time he offered me a free ticket(preseason)
his brother in law reclaimed it at the last minute....
(tickets belong to his brother in law to begin with)

So while Im all set to go pick up sandwiches, beer, pay for gas, toll , parking etc...
I have this nagging fear that I will run around all morning ,
not go to work, get pooched at last second, and wind up at home with way too much alcohol.
(which could result in me trying to rickroll people all day)

So I ask you,

take the chance
or just go to work ?

Just the fact that you could do either and there are millions of people looking for work right now that would skip the game to work and make money is crappy. Now unless you own your own business and are going in on your day off that is another story (which frankly I could care less what you do)
You should have added to the poll
"go to work because there are people that would be willing to work anyday anytime just to have a job" or "If I go to the game I should lose my job since there are millions of people looking for work and im willing to skip and go to a game".

I went to work while in labor (didn't know it at the time), so I am not a good person to ask if you should go to work or not. My answer will always be yes, go to work.

Last month I worked 27 out of 30 days.

I work on pure commission and also dont have any set hours.

So while, in general,
its best for me to go in every single Saturday and Sunday,
I'm not losing a days pay,
nor am I even required to call in and tell anyone I'm not showing up today.

Besides, things were sooo slow yesterday,
that I spent half the day f'ing around on the internet anyway.

Now I just have to hope a couple other small things work out and
we manage to get there b4 1st quarter ends.

There are jobs out there. Most people believe they are too good for those jobs though. These people would rather complain about how they can't find a job because their egos are too high.
