Default anyone else's ebay searches broken today?

I currently have 10 searches that I run at the same time and noticed today that two of them pull up zero results in their categories even though there are hundreds of items that match.

Anyone else having problems with search today?

I haven't been able to search completed auctions, in most instances, for over a week. All of them come back with zero results.

if you are using an * then that is why. They are doing away with the ability to search with it. Try putting all the variations of the word into parenthesis instead.

Really? If they do, they better get a ton of crap for it and put it back.

Agreed! The only way I can keep some of my searches manageable is to use * to reduce the character lengths.

scumbags...

BTW these searches worked in the iPad tonight, and yes, just now, not on Windows. Oh well... if they work on iDevices, I'm fine with it.

Oh, what the heck? Seriously? I'll start a petition to flood them with emails to chance it back.

I'm afraid it's worse than just *

Go to collectibles > trading cards and enter "C23"

I get 46 results.

Now add ", C22" so the total search is "C23, C22"

C22 alone is 47 results. Together, zero.

Stupid stupid ebay.

Argh! I hope this is a bug and not a 'feature'.

"C23" works.

"C23 -stargate" doesn't.

terrible!

And now, tonight at home on Chrome, 7 of my 10 searches load the bottom of the page and will not scroll up. I saw this on 2 of my searches earlier today on Safari.

New Ebay looks like has been programmed by the CEO's nephew.

Making it harder for buyers to find things to buy sounds like an excellent business plan. Thanks eBay!!!

It's certainly completely prevented me from browsing certain searches all day except for on the iPad which seems unaffected. Silliness.

Sorry, I was using quotes to differentiate the text to be searched for (should have used italics.

Try yours: ("c22","c23") -stargate

In collectibles > trading cards. Zero results. There should be over 90.

Tonight, I have been unable to scroll on certain ebay searches. It's seriously hosed.

I was afraid someone would say this because I have had errors on Safari and Chrome but so far not on Firefox... Perhaps new eBay only works on FF and IE.

I've been getting all the normal hits with current searches, but only get that error with completed listing searches.

At least you're getting some info. I just get 'nothing found, searching in all categories' type messages.

I'm certain, that there are 2 major errors here, one a 'feature' that * is no longer supported (although it works on my iPad, perfectly, for now),

and something to do with character length? Perhaps, ("C22", "C23") are too short?

Either way, stupid Feebay.
