Searched eBay for answer, but a lot of the stuff there is out of date.
My question if you sell with free shipping do you automatically get 5 stars on the shipping cost rating? Tired of losing money on shipping and still get murdered on my dsr for shipping price. |

Yes, if you offer free shipping on a transaction, that will mean that *if* the buyer leaves feedback, then the "Shipping and handling" DSR will be an automatic 5 Star.
In addition, if there are no eBay messages between the buyer and the seller during the transaction, then the "Communication" DSR will also be an automatic 5 Star. In addition, if you upload tracking information into eBay when you ship an item, and the item arrives by the 4th day after payment (according to the DC#) then you will receive an automatic 5 Star rating for "Shipping time" as well. There is no automatic 5 Star rating for "Item description". Keep in mind if the buyer never leaves feedback, then you don't get the automatic 5 Star DSR's. In my opinion, top rated DSR's are very difficult to achieve unless you sell hundreds of items a month. One low DSR can knock you out of TRS status, and the only way to dilute that low DSR is to have hundreds of other 5 Star DSR ratings in the same period. |
