wow.......cant believe this.....kinda happy I guess, I have been craving for something star wars, I mean the Clone Wars is cool, but this could be good? Just hope they don't go the goofy way with it and make more Jar Jar Disney Idiots running around on the screen!

That was pretty smart of Lucas because he is getting half in cash and 40 million in Disney shares plus he is ensuring his franchise lives on.

I don't know of I can handle a new star wars every 2-4 years though.

Actually, if Disney went the route they followed with the Marvel movies leading up to The Avengers, we might be back to a golden age for Star Wars.

BTW, Disney now also owns Indiana Jones!

They are reporting every other year a new one will come out so episode 8 will be in 2017 and episode 9 in 2019

Lucas was going to do a weekly TV show, Star Wars themed.
I think I read it was going to cost around 3-4 million per episode to do and they ended up scrapping it.
Maybe it will happen now.
Then again, I did not read the details of the deal...Star Wars may not be Star Wars without George Lucas...who knows.

The Sith's were killed off in the last movie, so does that mean it will be the Jedi vs somebody completely new?
