PayPal is constantly working to ensure security by regularly screening the accounts in our system. We recently reviewed your account, and we need more information to help us provide you with secure service. We would like to return your account to regular standing as soon as possible. We apologize for the inconvenience.
What is the problem? Nov 1, 2012: As of April, 2012, new Federal Regulations require Money Service Businesses, such as PayPal, to verify the identity of a customer before we can provide various services or product offerings. As a result, PayPal must ensure we have collected and verified important data such as customer name, address, date of birth, and national tax ID or social security number. Because we were not able to fully confirm your identity based on your current account information, we need to request additional supporting documentation from you. You will continue to have full access to your PayPal account, but until we are able to confirm your identity, we may be unable to process certain types of customer initiated requests such as adding funds to your PayPal account. How can I return my account to regular standing? It's usually pretty easy to take care of things like this. Most of the time, we just need a little more information about your account or latest transactions. To help us resolve this issue, please go to the Resolution Center. We'll review the information you provide and email you if we need more details. Once you complete all of the checklist items, your case will be reviewed by one of our Account Specialists. We will send you an email with the outcome of the review. That's what I logged into today, but not at 1am this morning? I've never had a limit on my account or have had any issues. Now they want ssn photo Id and proof of address... Not sure what to do!

I have two accounts. One has a limit on the funds I can remove monthly. I refuse to provide them my social security number.
The other account is frozen because a fraudulent seller THREE MONTHS ago filed a claim against me. Yes, you read that right. I have exchanged dozens of emails with paypal and spent 2hrs on the phone (over half on hold) with them on Monday night. It will only get worse. I read that they are downsizing the number of employees. |

That's a bummer was trying to put money from my bank account to PayPal for the thanksgiving promo and it keeps telling me I have to pretty much show my ssn photo id and proof of address. Pretty much giving PayPal my nuts if I do that!

yeah i have the same problem and it tells me "We were unable to confirm your personal information at this time. To find out what we need from you, go to the Resolution Center." But every time I go to the resolution center there is nothing there to help me out!!!! so confused ????

Well every time I go to the resolution center it says
Photo id-resolve Ssn-resolve Confirm street address-resolve but when I click resolve it ask me to send them scans of all 3 and I don't feel it's necessary to give them scans of everything. For I have never had an issue with PayPal. I guess I'll be leaving my account alone for a while!
