I love PJ. Yellow Ledbetter is one of the all-time greatest songs. I do agree that their first few albums were better than their later stuff, but bad PJ is still better than 90% of the stuff out there.

Not reading this thread, but I will chime in and say I loathe pearl jam. Not as much as I loathe rush and Dave Matthews though

Why Pearl Jam? I really gained a lot of respect for them for what they tried to do to Ticketmaster. I really wish more people could have followed in their footsteps.

Jeremy is an absolute classic. I used to air drum the crap out of that song when I was a kid. It is either jeremy or Yellow ledbetter that are my favorite pearl jam songs

I'm a Yellow Ledbetter guy. Though Daughter rules too.

And full disclosure...I was a HUGE Nirvana kid as a fan. Huge. Posters...bought his journal...had that three disk set with all the live sets and studio recordings...loved Hole too because Courtney Love was part of it, etc. At the time I swore off Pearl Jam without barely listening to them because they were that "other band."

Nowadays I still like Nirvana (especially that live MTV stuff), but I also dig me some Pearl Jam.

just breathe is my favorite. Not a overly popular song, but the words and meaning are great. Song was played at my buddys funereal. Cant listen to it without thinking about him and all the good times.

Was a fan of "Porch" when the album first came out.

My favorite is Vedder's "Long Road" Acoustic with Neil Young during the 9/11 Fundraiser event...very powerful.

Dave Matthews was HUUUGE amongst my high school friend group. I was always a little meh on them. Still kind of a Grey Street fan though.

Huge fan of Pearl Jam, but mostly the older stuff. I quit paying attention after their album Yield, with the exception of a few songs.

Some of my favorites from various albums: Elderly Woman Behind a Counter in a Small Town, Daughter, Black, Alive, Even Flow, Garden, Once, Dissident, Rearview Mirror, Indifference, Animal, Glorified G, Courduroy, Immortality, Nothingman, Betterman, Wislist, Off He Goes

All these years I have liked Pearl Jam and I had no idea I had mommy issues!

I guess you learn something every day.

Pearl Jam is most definitely my all time favorite band. It's way to hard to say what was best. Jeremy is an absute classic, but you've also got:

Rockin in the Free World w/ Neil Young
Reign Over Me (who cover)
Yellow Ledbetter
Red Mosquito

The list just goes on and on. I was thrilled when the Sirius PJ station formed. I can honestly say there is not a single song of theirs that I don't like at least a little.

A former roommate of mine is a HUGE Pearl Jam fan. She found out I don't particularly care for them and subjected me to them for hours. The bolded 2 are ones I can stand/somewhat like.

I ise to deliver furniture, and the guy I drove with was a HUGE fan. By huge I mean every single album, bootleg, whatever he could find. He's the one that really turned me on to them.

I remember they use to never play Ledbetter on the radio (atleast not here). Then the day after they sang it at a concert here in the early 2000's they started playing it all the time.

After giving it due reflection(while watching from the fence)
I think my favorite PJ tune is Evenflow.
The dropped D tuning on the bass along with various other subtleties of Aments playing, plus the main riff in general.

Will mull it over and make sure to follow up.
