Default I need some extra cash, what is the best way to sell some cards?

I could use some advise on how to sell some cards that I have. I have a complete set of 2011 topps chrome football it is in pages and binder and I also have about half the set of orange and about 60 xfractors and I am thinking what is the best way to sell them? I was thinking of asking for $45 for the complete set and then trying to sell the others as 2 separate lots with the starting bid at $40. What do you think about that? I also have a Play station 2 with 2 controllers, 2 8 mb memory cards and 18 games, a pair of ray ban sunglasses, isotoner gloves, suede leather jacket, mini indoor basketball hoop with backboard bouncing ball and nylon net, 2 15 pound hand weights. I've never sold anything on e bay and I am having a tough time and I couldn't get the pictures up loaded and hoping everything works out.

1. Use paragraphs

2. Post the cards under buy/sell/trade in any manner you wish

3. Don't mention you need money to people you want to sell to

4. Craigslist for all the non card related stuff

Craigs list is better than e bay? I kind of like that buyer protection thing and the fact that someone buying stuff on craigs list robbed another guy kind of adds an element of danger.

Isn't selling the cards on e bay the best option?

At the end of the day Ebay auctions are the fastest way to sell something. Throw it up for a 7 day auction with a 99 cents starting bid and let it ride. As long as the item has at least some value it will get bids and you will sell it 7 days later pretty much 100% of the time.

Of course you risk it selling for much less than you want or hope, but the tradeoff is that it's fast money. Here, on Craigslist, anywhere else you may have to take time negotiating, waiting for offers, etc. An Ebay auction you post it, it gets bid, and you're done.

Thanks guys, I just listed the PS2, it is my first listing for selling stuff on e bay, hope it works out. Here's the link if you're interested

Silver PS2 w 2 Contollers and 2 Memory Cards and 19 Games | eBay

I think that it is a fair price but I am sure that most people would consider it too high, I am trying to get maximum value though.

I will be listing more items soon.

Apparently you don't need money that much. $40 for shipping? And it would help if you listed the games. At least a picture of the games

he has pictures of the games.. but you should list them down below is the description box... yea 40 for shipping is gonna kill any sale.... you should be able to get it into a usps medium flat rate box (approx $12) or if not then a large flat rate (approx $16)... go to the post office, the boxes are free..get 1 of each ,bring em home, see which fits, and adjust your rate

Yeah dude you obviously don't need money that bad your price is off the chart. That lot looks like it would get about $60 or so based on recent sales give or take a few bucks:

Sony PlayStation 2 PS2 Slim Silver Console w 2 Controllers 13 Games Bundle 0711719608585 | eBay

And you want somebody to drop almost $100 minimum on it based on your starting bid. You're about to waste a week watching it not sell.

I am actually new to this and I believe it is asking for $13.25 shipping and there are pictures of the games in the photo's section.

I have an item and I am sure it will sell

Authentic Ray Ban Sunglasses w Leather Case and Cloth | eBay

The shipping thing is off on the PS2, but where did you get $40, it says $13.25

Totally new to this thing.

For the ps 2 - I see
Shipping:Calculate Varies based on location and shipping method Delivery:Varies
And it asks for my zip
When I put in my zip it says $40 and a few cents.

Thanks for the input, I wouldn't have known, I revised the item listing and have asked for $8.00 shipping and hopefully that is what it says.

There is nothing wrong with constructively criticizing the method of operations but I'm saying this is my first time and the shipping thing was an honest mistake, I don't know why that happened, I revised it so the shipping is $8.00, and that still might be a little high but it's better than $40 and it's not just a greeting card. To be honest I've never sold anything through the mail before and I'm going to have research it better.

As far as the cards go, don't you think that $40 is a fair price for a complete set of 2011 topps chrome base?

The orange refractor lot is starting at $0.99 and the $60 price is just if someone is in a hurry to get it, I've seen the complete set selling for $200 and I have over a third of it for less, I think that's fair, also $40 for ray ban's isn't bad, I think that's fair too.
