Default Old school hip hop/rap? I'm seeking some places to look

Was driving home today and listening to Cincy's "The Wiz," and they have a throwback Thursday. I was diggin' all the older hip hop tunes that I rarely hear, like "I've got five on it" by the Luniz and "Love like this" by Faith Evans and "Can I kick it" by A Tribe Called Quest. Got me thinking I need more of that kind of stuff on my Spotify. Anyone have suggestions? I've heard that A Tribe Called Quest in general is something I need to listen to more...I've heard so little of their stuff.

Sweet thanks. I am well versed in Outkast but otherwise not much. I was a fan of Busta's singles when I was in middle school/high school.

Gracias folks. As I said I'm pretty well versed in Outkast...I also have a slight knowledge of Fugees/Nas/The Roots/Tupac. All the rest is good to know, especially Wu Tang who I only really know like 4 songs from.

Also, Dead Prez...solid? I know they're not 90's, but a friend of mine dug them in college and she was kind of crazy but I always dug "Be Healthy."

Sweet I have never heard of Onyx in my life...that makes me psyched to check them out.

Growing up I was one of those suburb kids who had an appreciation for Nas' "What Goes Around" but mostly just loved Biggie's "Big Poppa." I literally only heard of "Juicy" about a year ago thanks to my little brother who made his own rap tunes. So I want to be educated haha.

Just realized that Bone Thugs did Crossroads. That was my jam in 1997. I was 11. But damn if that song wasn't good.

Excited to hear their non singles!

I absolutely love Big L. He died to soon though. Dude definitely knew how to use his advanced vocabulary. His song "Put It On" is one of my favorite rap songs of all-time.

A few great ones noted above.

Got a few more for you.

-Lords of the Underground (Hard like Onyx...Chief Rocka!)
-Memphis Bleek (Jay Z protege)
-Shyne (After B.I.G. died he was the new Bad Boy)
-Das EFX (Snappin necks for some live effects)
-Brand Nubian (punks jump up)
-Kool G Rap (arguably best of all time with Rakim)
-Big Pun (lyrics ridiculous...Don the Rock Morrocco chokehold....)

R.I.P. Big L

I still love Crossroads, but none of the rest of their stuff really stuck with me. Guess I'm a hate em type haha.

Whoa that's awesome! And as for that list, definitely familiar with Jay, Pac, Nas, and newer Outkast and Biggie's hits. I'm gonna listen to Biggie's non hits/older Outkast and I will definitely listen to some DMC and Ice Cube too. I'm a huge fan of "Today was a good day."

Yeah, it was pretty cool. They were they a few times of the year, and met them once, when I was little. "Today was a good day" is one of the best songs!
