Default My day is off to a rough start

I dropped the kids off to school and went to my networking breakfast for all of us in the career reinvetion field (unemployed) from my old company. While I was there my wife called to tell me that our three year old American Bulldog died this morning. I am really torn up because she had been the companion at my side during all the time I have spent at home this summer. I am not really sure what was wrong with her. She had been sick on and off over the past three months and three different vet visits did not pinpoint the problem.

Jetson, I'm really sorry to hear about your loss. That's terrible. Losing a pet can feel like losing a family member. I, too, grew very close to my dog over the summer.

I am sorry to see this, she is a a beautiful girl. We had to say goodbye to our 12 year old black lab back in January. We got a new guy less than a month later, but it is still very hard sometimes. I am sure she enjoyed being by your side as much as you enjoyed having her there. Best wishes.

Sorry to hear that, my friend. Always much tougher when they are young and it's such a shock.

So sorry to hear of your loss I have had the crappy experience of losing a black lab and a cat as well as my youngest daughter. They all suck. Again, my thoughts go out to you and your loss.

So sorry about your Bulldog....we have two rescued Black Lab mix/mutts that are just starting to show a little age (they're 8 and 6)...they were our children before we had "our children"...and I shudder to think about losing them at some point in the, hopefully, distant future - hang in there

not to change the subject of this thread, but your family should not have pets if 4 have died or runaway in only 6 years.....

to the thread starter....... i sympathize greatly with you. i had to put my first dog to sleep 15 years ago. it took me almost 10 years to adopt another one. i dread the day that he goes.
