I woke up to my wife laying next to me listening to our soon-to-be born son's heartbeat on our doppler heartbeat monitor. It's the best sound in the world, I could listen to that all day. She was pregnant this time last year but at 37 weeks pregnant she went into labor but our daughter didn't make it as the cord was wrapped around her neck. That was the toughest time of my life. Now that's she's pregnant again I just love listening to his heartbeat and feeling him kick inside her.
This a nice gesture by you and even though I don't know you and even though I don't post here as much as I should, I see you giving things away a lot and that shows what kind of person you are.

Haiku you are an elite member.
Went to class today, just got done playing full-court basketball at the rec, and i'll probably be doing homework or socializing around the dorms later. Normal day of a college kid.

Haiku, as always your generosity is inspiring. I don't need the head phones and I don't want to thread jack. But since this read is about giving, and I am sure it will be the most read thread on here just wanted to share this tidbit.
It will be one year ago tomorrow that I found out I had a 95% clogged artery and ended up,with a stent in my heart. From minor chest pain, to the angIoplasty it all went down in 2 days. I share this because last year when I found out about the clog I was 35 years old, 6'4 and 220 pounds. Relatively young, not "fat" and led an active lifestyle. From the little I know of my family history heart disease does not run in the family. The point being to all, you never know. If I had waited a day or two more to go into the doctor I may not be here today. Get your annual physical, have them do an EKG (almost all doctor offices can do one on site) and if you ever do end up having chest pains (I just thought I pulled a muscle) get that sh@t checked out sooner rather then later. Or tell you I had to take a crap 3 times at work today because I was bored and wanted to read twitter. I'd also like to complain because my new job only has 2 bathrooms - when I was in the NHL I had access to like 200 bathrooms in the arena. It's disappointment. Let me tell you.

Have to write two research papers before thanksgiving break...ahhh! College is definitely writing intensive, haha. Hey I got some cheap $20 headphones to help drown out the noise of my roommates when I'm doing homework...those are comparable to beats, right?

Haiku, you may be the kindest person I know....and I don't even personally know you. I'm pretty sure there is no way I would ever win, but just wanted to acknowledge your generosity.
As for my day, I woke up, got the kids ready for school and hauled my butt through the snow and into work. I played some basketball, since it's my favorite form of exercise lol. I'm basically in a waiting ame for 18 days until we start our family vacation to Disneyworld. We're (Me, my wife and 2 girls) are going with all of her family down there....very brave of me. I'm guessing that once I pick the girls up from school, it's gonna be a play outside or go sledding kind of day around here lol. Anyhow, props to you sir...you're what is missing in a lot of peoples lives around the world even if it's just for a minute
