Well tonight at work I was going through my wallet to see if I had enough to buy a drink. 50 cent no luck. I helped an elderly man at work do something and he told me to hold out my hand, gave me 50 cent. Said "you may need this sometime" .How awesome is that.

Just got done studying for my exam which is tomorrow morning at 9 a.m. and figured I should go on blowout and see what's up and then I randomly came across this thread while searching for wil myers cards. I did not really do anything exciting today. Almost got in an accident since somebody thinks it's ok to take a right turn into the left lane without signaling. I swear I have prevented 8 accidents so far in my life and I am only 22 years old. I had 3 classes today and one was a night class (YUCK!) Gave a presentaton in the night class about self-checkouts and the costs/benefits associated with them. Now I am by my girlfriend who is finishing writing a paper for her theology class.

I miss being a single college student sometimes...life was much simpler then.

Day started at 5:30 - get both kids ready for the day, eat breakfast, etc.

Drop of the baby at daycare (3 months old on Friday), drive my son to school and drop him off. He's a great kid and we always have the best conversations driving around.

Get to school and prep my classroom for the day - kids come in...have a lot of fun with my students learning all kinds of stuff. Do some planning and grading and head over to my son's school to pick him up. Grabbed the baby from daycare and headed to Kohl's to let my son do some Christmas shopping for his mom and baby sister.

Head home...Chili Mac for dinner, watch some MLB tonight with the kiddos. Spongebob for a little while and then reading time. Dad duty until bed time, kiddos are now asleep. So now I go back to work doing lesson plans and working on various classroom related items. Probably head to bed sometime in the next hour or so. Nice to stop by Blowout and peruse for a bit.

Sorry to hear that. I really am. I am not sure how I will deal with it when that day comes for us.

so sorry to hear that man, the day we had to put my childhood dog down was the worst day of my life

I was a senior in college and my parents had just got into town for parents weekend, it was also the first time my mom had been out there since moving me out there my freshman year. They were at my apartment for maybe 15 minutes when my sister called and said there was something wrong with our dog and that he couldn't stand up.

She had to have a friend come over to help carry him to the car and took him to the vet, after an hour or so of back and forth calls with the vet, who my dad had used for almost 20 years and fully trusted, they decided they had to put him down because he was just in too much pain.

Needless to say it didn't make for a good parents weekend, I was a mess and couldn't stop crying all weekend.

The only good thing for me that I was able to take away from it was my last moments with him. That summer when I was about to leave, before walking out the door I walked over and sat next to him on the floor and started rubbing his back. He then put his head on my knee and gave out a small whimper, it was like he knew it was the last time we'd ever see each other.

I'm literally tearing up as I typed this, it hurts to think about every time, but that last memory of him is something I'll never forget as long as I live and it's a story I love to tell because I loved him so much. I know it's tough to think about now, but with time you'll cope with it and it will get better, hope the next few days aren't too rough for you.

Just drove 1 hour to help my brother open his car door with a hanger since he locked his keys in it. Just when I was about to give up on the fourth hanger in 30 degree weather after 45 min, I was able to snag it. Couldn't let my bro down. Not looking for anything, just felt like sharing...that u can get into your car with a hanger. this is a great post OP!

..Saw something about a dog after 16 years!. You were blessed for the short, but long in dog years time you had. You will meet again.

Nothing like flu like symptoms. Thanks to work, and the 5 positive cases we had come into the ER at work. Got swabbed though, but luckily, I don't have the flu. I do have a viral upper respiratory infection though. So of course, I have passed it on to the son and the other half. Not a good day here on the homefront.

I'm really sorry about that. Losing a dog is one of the hardest things I've ever been through. I hope everything else is going well with you and just know he/she had a great life with you as their owner!

Administrating a PT test
Department of the Army is doing our annual inspection of our facility

And still got to figure out what to get the wife for Christmas lol
