Default OUCH WTF!?!?!?!

i fell asleep in my recliner last night, and at about 5am i woke up violently with a horrible stabbing pain in my outer left thigh. I knew i hadn't actually been stabbed, but i swear to god what it felt like was that my leg had exploded and blood was running everywhere.....except that there was no blood, and no explosion....just pain. It only lasted for a few seconds, and after i realized i wasn't bleeding or legless, i calmed down a bit. But now i'm just freaked out that something is wrong. F***. I hope it was just a severe case of pins and needles in my leg from sleeping in the recliner.

Naturally, after i googled my symptoms, i think i have everything known to modern medicine. I should probably go to the doctor anyway. I'm a mess.

hahahaha I get it, and it's not a backhand towards you phillycards.

I wouldn't get too stressed over it, if it happens more frequently and you're not in that same position, then I'd go check it out to double check.

Could be a pinched nerve, like the sciatic nerve. Chiropractor might be best bet.

Hope you feel better.

Perhaps your psyche was reliving a traumatic experience from a previous life in which your leg was shot or blown off while on a battlefield. Or not. I dunno.

I'm going with this. OP, you said in the recliner, was it fully reclined? Perhaps your body is telling you you are getting too old to fall asleep NOT in a bed.

^^^ This was my first thought when I read this thread. Even if it's not a cramp, stay hydrated anyway just in case!
