Forget, football, family, other goofy traditions. Just the meal.

golfinglegend67 11-17-2012 03:29 PM

Got to go with gravy. I end up putting it on most everything else on my plate

My vote was for other because I really enjoy the parades. I like to watch the Macys Parade & our own Texas Thanksgiving Parade that they have in Houston. After those it's on to football then food for our family here, turkey being the best thing to eat aside from the pies.

Turducken!!!!!!

vc15jrich23 11-17-2012 03:53 PM

Am I the only one who likes the leftovers the next day better?

nuccionino 11-17-2012 04:00 PM

Man I am going to miss thanksgiving this year, I'd have to say turkey. I only have turkey on thanksgiving, the other stuff I have a lot of throughout the year.

Ooosh 11-17-2012 04:15 PM

What is so good about stuffing? I have never been a fan.

GoTribe!!! 11-17-2012 04:31 PM

I think it has to be the right stuffing cooked just the right way. My mom always cooked ours in the turkey and make it from scratch. It is delish. Do you eat yours smothered in gravy?

Me, too! My father-in-law makes the best mashed potatoes I have ever had. I had to attend a birthday party last week over our planned lunch date at his house and I made my husband promise he would bring me some home. I literally ate them in less than a minute. Not my proudest moment.
Biscuits was not on the list, I voted mashed potatoes. I eat mine with ketchup and sometimes mustard. Garlic bread is pretty good too.
Apple butter is a staple around here to have on biscuits.

mnvikingstwins 11-17-2012 06:25 PM

As a straight male, I must go with pie. I loves me some pie.

GoJays 11-18-2012 03:05 AM

My favorite part of a thanksgiving dinner: when it ends and everybody leaves. Then I take a nice nap and watch reruns of Fraser.

With 30 people at every thanksgiving dinner, it gets pretty #@#@#@#@ing hectic.

Seriously, though, I love mashed potatoes.

MasterPattie 11-26-2014 02:58 PM

Time for a bump on this one... :turkey::turkey::turkey:

XL5 11-26-2014 03:03 PM

Booze and Detroit Lions football. Usually with the former being a prerequisite to stomach the latter.

thebrokepoet 11-26-2014 03:13 PM

Gravy ... Put it on evertything

jmscoggin 11-26-2014 03:45 PM

My wife can't cook yet somehow makes the best stuffing I've ever had in my life. Nothing else on turkey day ever holds a candle to it.
