Default Who's cooking ?

I am in the "lull" period
Everything is prepped. Turkey has another 45 minutes, then it's the dash to toss everything in for an hour
How is everyone's cooking going ?

I have a cold so I am not allowed in the kitchen. Otherwise, I would be.

This years menu includes....

Dry brined turkey rubbed with ancho pepper, chili powder, garlic powder, red pepper, and habanero pepper, then braised in butter, and stuffed with whole carrots/celery/halfed onions/halfed peppers

Gravy made from the turkey drippings

Sausage meat stuffing

Traditional bread stuffing

Homemade cranberry relish

Mashed potatoes with maple bacon, montery jack cheese, roasted garlic, and if I can talk my wife into it peanut butter

green bean casserole minus deep fried onions, plus deep fried jalepenos

Corn with fresh basil in butter sauce

crustless pumpkin tarts

chocolate chip and walnut cookies

maple pecan minicakes with maple frosting

Not cooking here, I plan on eating at 3 different places and eating at

2-4-6-8 (leftovers at 8)

Screw Denny's and their 2/4/6/8, I have my own version.

Happy Thanksgiving.

I love you more every day.

Mother in Law is making dinner.

I get Christmas. Can't wait for the red meat orgy I want to prepare.

I am not allowed to get Frisky with the food
I would like turkey with rosemary and peppers,taragon,fennel...no, I jsut generic it. 1 whole onion in the cavity. I make my own stuffing, and I season it up, stuff it in with onion, then pour a can of broth op top and let er go upside down for 5 hours

And mashed tatoes with Asiago,chives....
Nope, here in the south if you dick with traditional dinner, people smile and never come back...and that would piss the wife off

Bird number one was pulled out of the deep pit two hours ago and is packed away for leftovers. Birds 2, 3 and 4 are just off the grill, in the oven, and on the grill, and bird 5 is still uncooked in the fridge, waiting for tomorrow.

I helped my mom cook. Went to her house last night and made 4 of the 6 things. Helped with the other things when I got there today. I made those cheddar biscuits you can get at Red Lobster. Totally over ate.
