Redemptions.

"Tell me what you think" threads that don't want to hear what you think if it's not what they think. AKA "Did I get a steal?" or "How much is this worth?"

Gary Bettman's weasely face.

These 3 pretty much sum up my complaints. I might add in "hot packs" and "box breaks" on eBay...

People that reuse bubble mailers that were cut and when sending it don't fully tape it closed so water (etc) can get in.

People that don't read your post.....
What'd you say?

I think it's worse when someone says thank you to a freebie by sending a freebie to the person that sent the freebie. That's the worst kind of person I can think of

Mine is when people back out of a break I'm hosting after it's gone live.

My big pet peeve is when people make threads about everyone's biggest pet peeves.

Ay caramba.

Major Peeve....

When a normal joe or collector or fan refers to the team he enjoys watching and cheers for and his relationship with that team as "WE"....

Example..."WE" almost won this weekend....
"WE" need to make that move....
"WE" should be good headed into the playoffs....

"WE" insinuates that you are part of the team either in a playing, coaching, advising, management, ownership capacity.

If this does not pertain to you, please do not use "WE".

Fans pay for tickets that line management's pockets, so I think there's some legitimacy to using "we" in this sense as far as the (literal) support for a team.

No issues with "die-hard" fans or a huge amount of support but there is a definite distinction between members of the team/organization and the fan base.

Just ask this guy......I'm sure him and the Heat were "WE" before LeBron stiffed him

Quoting another's post and ALL the pictures. Why must we see two dozen pictures quoted for you to make a comment?

People who refuse to use photobucket thumbnails when posting. Make the post easier to navigate and use the thumbnail tag. If we want to see a poster size image we can click on it.

I thought I was the only one who gets slightly annoyed whenever this occurs! I've brought this up with people I know personally and they don't get it.

No...I'm with ya.

It's especially prevalent in the south with collegiate teams I've noticed in my travels.

Neighbor says "we have a big game this weekend"

I say "oh, where are the kids playing at?"

Neighbor says "we'll be at home...gonna stomp a mudhole in that arse"

I say "oh, who you play?"

Neighbor says "Them Dawgs"

I say "come again?"

Neighbor says "Georgia, you know them dawgs"

PAUSE...I'm thinking to myself...your kids are 8 and 12 years old, why would they be playing a team in Ga we live in SC. My wife pokes me and says..."the college team, you know the Gamecocks against the Bulldogs this weekend."

So I correct the bewildered look on my face and automatically assume that the neighbor or his wife are USC grads, so i ask when they grad?

Neighbor says "Oh, we didn't go there"

I say "oh, so you have family that works there or attended?"

Neighbor says "No"

So now I'm completely confused

Ol' boy has the flags, decals, rugmats, bbq apron, the works all USC.
Other than being a fanatic has absolutely nothing to do with the team.

Over the years we have conversated quite frequently about sports and he tells me this....

He grew up in a small town in SC with no major market teams around, so he cheered for the nearest Div I university and so did his family and it has stuck since. A very reasonable and fair offering IMO.

We have been good buds for a long time and the dude is cool as heck but I don't think he will ever kick the "we" in his vocabulary. I'm used to it, haha.

To continue with the subject at hand....

People that overprice their stuff so when the price is lowered in disguise of "giving a better deal" so they get the price they truly wanted or closer to, have the balls to give others static for doing the same thing.

People who whine and talk sh!t every time they get the slightest bit offended. It's a baseball card forum, and we all know you aren't that tough in person.
