Default Wynn at Las Vegas...anyone visited before?

So I am returning from the desert in December and just booked a 5day/4night stay at the Wynn in Las Vegas for under $1k....$997.48 to be exact. Flying outta North Carolina....i thought it was a decent price......

So has anyone had the luxury of staying here so I can get an idea from some people how it turned out for them. I have read a couple reviews, but a lot of them come from overseas and visit. Wanted to see if anyone on here might have made the trip recently...I honestly can't wait! Going to drop what I saved from not buying a case of 09/10 Exquisite Basketball on the slots...I'm thinking that will be more entertaining....and hopefully more profitable......

I stayed at the Wynn last August. It was very nice but this is coming from someone who is just fine with staying at the Golden Nugget.

Wynn is no joke. The atmosphere can be a bit stuffy compared with the rest of vegas, but its cool to see a ferrari dealership in the hotel.

I was just at the Venetian this past June. Personally, to me, that is THE best hotel/resort down there. However, the Wynn was also super nice, has one of, if not THE best buffets ever, and the rooms/resort are also super fancy and nice. I am partial to the Venetian because it has the Italian theme, and while the Wynn is fancy and nice, has no theme. Venetian also has the Tao nightclub/restaurant which rocks, and the Tao beach club, which is also great for hanging out at during the day ... The Venetian also pumps some sort of smell into it that is amazing - you will know what I am talking about as soon as you get in there [if you go to gamble - its close]. The Wynn's casino is great, but like Venetian/Palms/Bellagio the table games are all usually expensive ... My room at the Venetian was $149 a night for a 700+ sq ft room, but from my research back in June, the Wynn was always the most expensive, so depending on your room I dont think you got that bad of a deal - plus I would imagine OCT is pricier than June, when its 110 every day

Anyhow, basically all the rambling aside, while I preferred the Venetian over any other place down there - and yes, since it was my 1st Vegas trip, I did visit EVERY one there over the course of 8 days - The Wynn would easily be my 2nd choice, and is a kick ass resort.

Have fun!

I'm probably mistaken, but I think the Wynn has the Cirque De Solai show called Le Reve. (I'm sure I spelled both of them wrong). That is an unbelievable show if you can find the time to see it. Trust me, it's something you won't ever forget and well worth the time to see it.

Good luck in Vegas! Perhaps you'll win/Wynn enough to buy several boxes of UD Exquisite and not care when you get hosed. LOL

It great! But if you are bringing kids, they won't enjoy it one bit.

jlcherry...you in the military? If so, thanks for serving and I hope you enjoy your trip. Since you're no doubt looking to relax the Wynn is a great choice. about $250 is right on par for that hotel to pay a night so you did ok there.

I make a yearly trip out there and try to get the best deal possible at the best establishment possible. I had the host there talked down to about $180 a night but I got lucky and caught the right host at the Planet Hollywood (a 4-star with a better location) and he got me a suite for $80 a night so that's where i'll be staying in late october-Novemeber when i go. The Wynn is a ways (1/2 mile) from the start of the meat of the strip though so bring your walking shoes.

Have fun when you go! I dunno if you're a big The Price is Right fan but the best "show" i've ever been to there is their live stage show where you can participate! I ended up winning $150 in a giveaway there!!!

If you're not locked in stone to stay at the Wynn, the Venitian is offering an insane 1 bedroom suite deal as long as you book by Oct. 5th.

Got that offer and that is exactly the one that I compared with that ended up being $400 more than what I paid...got it through my email....so I decided on the Wynn....locked in now, so I hope it's worth it...plus....forgot to add that it will be considered a mini-honeymoon, so maybe the Wynn staff will comp me something.........

Happy Anniversary! and I hope they do more for you than just "1" breakfast...I've heard some people say upgraded rooms (to even the luxury suite)...I know there all suites, but I read it was like a 1200 sp ft. one!

And then I've heard about the comps for breakfast, dinner to even show tickets! I already contacted coinceirge about getting some flowers in the room before I get there, but then I'm wondering how they'll do it if I get upgraded!!!...I can't wait to get there and win my millions!!!...good luck to you too!

Doing the same thing with the flowers. What you have to do is stall before you go to the room to give them time to set them up in either the room you're getting, or being moved to.

Called in a favor last night and got them to comp me a pair of VIP tix to Chazz Palminteri's Bronx Tale show.

Good luck & break that bank

It's more of a connection thing for me. I work for the Harrah's corp in their entertainment division. Every now & then I am able to get my boss to reach outside of the Harrahs properties and get something. I think I've used mine up for the year though
