Default Life

It's hard. Bills suck.

To all the young members on this forum- Enjoy this time while you still have it. Do well in school. Go to College. Drink yourself into oblivion. Have relations with as many people as you can before you find the right person. You will thank me later.

I thought you were talking about the FB team . Good luck with your financial issues, whatever they may be.

Might not be "issues" per se, but more a reflection of the fact that goes back to my old adage about mail: when you're young, mail is awesome. It is either a birthday card with money, something you bought, or your subscription to Beckett. Nowadays, as a adult, mail only consists of utilities bills, credit card bills, doctor's bills, etc etc. Point is, the reality of being an adult is much different than that of being young.

Be young, have a blast, make memories, and enjoy it all before maturing into adulthood. Don't get me wrong, adulthood is sweet and brings with it many wonderful events and experiences, but there are major differences too, many of which involve "having to pay something" every month, after month, after month

I'll take being an adult over being a kid any day. I took financial responsibility for myself at 16. Having the freedom to make choices with some level of responsibility is way better than not having bills and being told what to do every waking minute of your life. The day I moved out of my parents was the happiest day of my life at that time. Obviously responsibilities increase over time when you get married, buy a home, have children, etc. Those same responsibilities make life more rewarding. I view life as a progression and every year I am happier than I was the year prior.

Yes. One of my personal favorites.

Also one of my all-time favorite board games.

I have been paying bills since I was 12. Too many nights sleeping in cars to save gas, especially recently. Heck my car payment, gas, insurance is 2.5 times the amount I earn. I don't know how I keep paying my bills, student loans seem to run out as soon as I got them. All this and I am 22 haha. It sucks not being able to eat right, that's my biggest issue with being broke.

I wish I had those mails when I was a kid haha. I don't remember the last time I received a gift for my birthday or Christmas, 2005 maybe? I just say cherish life daily no matter your age. I always found a way to make it work for me, when everyone else around me failed. Mainly because I aim to succeed and I know all my hard work will pay off one day.

I'm right there with you...

Whenever I sit down and actually break down my student loans and mortgage I just want to cry.

I just take things one day at a time and focus on my goals of that day. Helps me get through life.

I hate mail. This week I got my Jury Duty summons for Compton CA. The location isn't that bad, just a drive. My job doesn't offer us any compensation for serving on the jury either.

To the OP, here's to 2013 bringing you a huge change to relieve you of some of that financial burden.
