Ok guys my dad lives in Cheshire, OR which is a very small town out side of Eugene. We want to get internet but the dsl providers are about a mile away. So we have satellite TV and now we need satellite internet. My brother plays Xbox 360 online (MW and BO) and i use the internet for surfing.
Heres a few questions from my dad: Do we have to sign a contract? What plan should we get? $50 $70 $100? It will be used about 6-12 days a month. Is it fast enough to handle a laptop and Xbox at the same time? Any other options besides a cell phone hotspot (Service isnt very good) Thanks guys!!!!

I used to install wildblue and hughes and im just going to say this if you have another option as far as dsl go with that. If not then hughes is better then wild blue. If your thinking about streaming anything think again its not going to happen with those two providers. I have heard about dish launching something called dishnet that has something to do with via sat and hughes. They claim speeds up to 10 mb check around for it.
