Cool In a good mood...free holiday giveaway

As you are aware, the McRib is back at McDonald's.

This giveway is simple. Post a story of your love for the McRib. Winner will receive a McRib in the mail compliments of me.

For me, it all started back in 1994. The Flintstones movie came out and I remember the McRib blowing up back then. I was a young lad at the time and got one after school. Since then, I've been hooked. I love the tangy barbeque sauce smothering that patty of who knows what kind of meat, plus onions that all seem to get placed on one side of the patty or on the wrapper. I do order them with no pickles.

I don't ever remeber having a McRib. I wish they would bring back their cheesesteak though!

My first job out of college was working with kids diagnosed with autism in their homes or at school. I had to travel all over the county and hardly had enough time for lunch so I ate a lot of fast food. That cheese steak was one of my favs.

I have ate at mcdonald's since I was about 6 years old which was over 20 years ago. There for I do not deserve to win the contest.

PS did I win? If so I donate it to you and you can have it.

I worked at McDonald's for 5 1/2 years and cooked so many of these I can't even count, I've eaten so many it's not even real life. They're delicious. Can I trade for the mcrib no onions though?

wait a couple of months to revisit this to add a shamrock shake, so a 2-3 month old mcribb and a cool green shake. Doesn't get better than that.

I've never had a McRib, but a McRib has had me. It was the second most painful night of my life.

Ill always remember my first mcrib. It was the day I got my first non sports auto. A 1/1 signed nude polaroid from tnarg himself. It was a messy night.

11 Amazing Facts about the McDonald's McRib - Yahoo! Finance

3. The McRib is a product of "restructured meat technology."

Rene Arend came up with the idea and design of the McRib, but it's a professor from the University of Nebraska named Richard Mandigo who developed the "restructured meat product" that the McRib is actually made of.

According to an article from Chicago magazine, which cites a 1995 article by Mandigo, "restructured meat product" contains a mixture of tripe, heart, and scalded stomach, which is then mixed with salt and water to extract proteins from the muscle. The proteins bind all the pork trimmings together so that it can be re-molded into any specific shape — in this case, a fake slab of ribs.

5. The entire McRib sandwich contains about 70 ingredients — including a flour-bleaching agent used in yoga mats.

Flickr/Calgary ReviewsAs it appears out of the box, the McRib sandwich consists of just five basic components: a pork patty, barbecue sauce, pickle slices, onions, and a sesame bun.

But, as recently reported by Time magazine, a closer inspection of McDonald's own ingredient list reveals that the pork sandwich contains a total of 70 ingredients. This includes azodicarbonamide, a flour-bleaching agent often used in the production of foamed plastics.

The entire sandwich packs a whopping 500 calories, 26 grams of fat, 44 grams of carbs, and 980 milligrams of sodium.

I am fairly confident that sending a McRib through the mail would be a federal offense.

You cant ship biological weapons through the mail
