Default High-End Sellers: Do you trust paypal with your $1,000+ sales?

I've been thinking about posting one of my higher end cards on ebay, but i really don't want the payment to go through paypal. Seems too easy to be scammed by a bogus charge-back, and with paypal always siding with the buyer, it scares me. What forms of payment do you guys take (suggest) for very high end sales?

Then just leave the internet forever.

If you sell on paypal you have to take paypal. You can take other forms of payment if the buyer asks but you cannot offer it.

Cuz you know a check could never bounce or a money order could never be fake.

Use paypal. Read the rules and understand how you need to cover yourself. Take these measureas and sell you item.

Insurance!! Just buy insurance!!

Ebay has a tool that lets you pre select bidders. Use them. Filter out any low feedback, NPB dings. While the auction runs keep watch and make sure the list of bidders seem authentic.

When shipping, make sure you ship with some sort of confirmation/tracking/signature and insurance! THere are ways to protect yourself. Taking short cuts is what opens up loopholes for getting scammed.

Could always save yourself all the headaches and have the card sold on consignment???
