What year is it? I found this under consumer complaints for the 2004 Chevrolet Aveo:

"Spring in gas cap breaks preventing owner from removing gas cap and refueling vehicle. Gas cap replaced by dealer and new one broke again within two weeks."

"The gas cap broke weeks after purchasing the vehicle. The consumer was unable to remove the gas cap to fill the tank. The dealer stated that the spring broke.. The dealer took it off so that the consumer could place gas in the tank."

That you sir. Its a 2005 but I think its the same problem. I will take it back tomorrow after work.

Ok, now you gus can have your fun. When I was twisting it it kept being retarded. So, I yelled at it, did NOTHING. Usually when I get pissed at something, something happens. Not that time. Im glad leo found that on the internet. Thanks for your help man as now I can get some rest. Im out fellas.
