I used to go to local tracks every weekend when I was younger. I was really close to my neighbor and he raced late models. Loved going

I've been going for around 25 years, when I was younger it was a lot of sprint shows steve kinser, sammy swindell even watched jeff gordon when he was a teen. Mostly late models these days but either way its a great show.

There are tons in the central/upstate New York region. You've got the one-mile track here at the fairgrounds in Syracuse where they have Super Dirt Week every October...plus Fulton, Brewerton, Rolling Wheels, Weedsport, Canandaigua, Utica-Rome, and east to Fonda, West Lebanon, etc. Despite loving motorsports since about age 8, I've only ever been to the fairgrounds and Fulton. My favorite local driver has always been Billy Decker, all the way back to 1993. My dad liked the now long-retired "Barefoot Bob" McCreadie, because someone once mistook my dad for him.

Billy decker is a big time modified driver correct?? Is tim (tmac) mccreadie a relation to bob?

Huge dirt fan here, drive a factory stock a few years back but it just got to be so expensive that i sold it. Today i help a friend in the pits with his imca modified. About 10 years ago I was at a world of outlaws sprint car race that had a ride along sprint car that would give you a 2 lap hot lap session for 50 bucks. If y'all ever get a chance to do that I suggest it, it was amazing.

That's awesome, I have had a lot of friends and family who have driven different types of racecars.. bought raffle tickets for a chance to win a ride in the 2 seater late model with tony stewart but never won...
