Is it actually worse than Storage Wars: Texas? I refuse to watch either...or the original, for that matter. NY/Texas both seem so fake, just in the "personalities" of all the douchebags on the show.

My eyes must be tired. I read the title of the thread as Star Wars New York.

dont remember seeing anything about this..but as was already posted...

its seriously WORSE than Texas?

I get they were trying to cash in off the hype...

but the "acting" in regular Storage Wars is bad enough...Texas is 10x overacted.

Don't forget the 75k ring that was found at the end. Now I know those shows are scipted but come on at least put some thought into it.
I actually think that could hurt business if they are misplacing valuables and don't have a computer system I wouldn't want to do business there.

The Storage Wars franchise started and ended with the original. These spin-offs are just not working on any levels.

It's so unbelievable that the characters are the EXACT SAME in every show. There's a mogul, a gambler, a disagreeing couple, and a weird and oddball buyer.

It also bugs me that A&E's solution to bad ratings/reviews is to add female leads. Aside from the original Storage Wars, each new reality show has added young female leads in the past year, some more than one (see Storage Wars: Texas). Shipping Wars added Chris and Robbie, Storage Wars: Texas added numerous new female leads, and Barter Kings, the only show I found bearable, is now adding a young, female trader.

I'm hoping nobody's reading this in a sexist way as that's not how it's intended at all, I'm simple stating if you're going to bring on new leads, at least hire people in the profession and not crappy actors/actresses.

Two thoughts:

1.) I have come to the realization that Barry Weis is dirty, stinking, rich. He has all of these crazy vehicles and seems to be able to buy any unit he wants and not even care if he loses money.

2.) I enjoy Ricky and Bubba. They are easily my two favorite characters on the show.

Is it me or is "the legend" the same guy that was on the show "Final Offer"?

Storage Wars New York is an Estrogen Fest. Two chicks looking for shoes (albiet the Redhead is pretty good looking) and feuding Gays with a one eyed dog. Oh, don't forget the portly Tap Dancing Shoe Appraiser. Oh, one more scary Central Park Bird Watcher Binocular Appraiser. This combination does not bode well for the male viewing demographic.

After watching two episodes I am convinced that it may be the fakest of the three Storage Wars Franchises
* A beat to hell drum set for $500
* The Dee Snyder look a like gets all excited that he hit the jackpot before he even unrolled the picture of the NYC skyline
* $1,000 for those Binoculars

I think what annoys me is when they are like "yeah those coins are like worth 50 bucks and then with the mattress and broken chair, thats like 650 bucks, so yeah, made a profit". Where the hell do they get their prices? I am waiting for Jared to be like "yeah so the porn and sex toys will sell for a thousand dollars because they are brand new in the box". There might be a pun there. :P
