The Art of Fielding by Chad Harbach

It's about a college baseball team from Wisconsin (fictional but the characters seem to be drawn from real players) and it has been fantastic so far. It just came out in paperback and named by the New York Times as one of the best books of 2012. Definitely worth checking out!!

It's hard to find but let me know if you see anything!

Both of Dirk Hayhurst's books, "Out Of My League" and "Bullpen Gospels" were great reads if you like baseball. Basketball-wise, "Can I Keep My Jersey?" by Paul Shirley and "Let Me Tell You A Story" by John Feinstein and Red Auerbach are great.

I haven't read any sports books yet but I did pick up "buried prey" and "shock wave" by John Sandford which looks good. Of course Stephen King has a few good books out as well as Dean Koontz. "The Coldest Fear" by Rick Reed is a great police thriller.

Ender's Game by Orson Scott Card.

if you've read that, then Ender in Exile.

RA Dickeys book was excellent... read it towards the end of last season, the whole time I was reading it I would try and imagine what the next chapter would have been if had written it after the season ended.

Some classics: Count of Monte Cristo, Atlas Shrugged (long read)

Anything by Brad Thor. Start with the Lion's of Lucerne and see if you can stop yourself from finishing the series.

I will have to recommend Tony La Russa's new book called One Last Strike. Talks about the 2011 Cardinals. Three Nights in August is also a good read.
