How prevalent are counterfeits on eBay? eBay isn't always the best place when you are faced with counterfeits and leary buyers.

Can you check with a local auction house? I live in a relatively middle of the road town and we have several that have quarterly auctions (bids in person, online or phone/fax) with items ranging from $10 to over $100,000.

Look for small cracks. It's not crystal, but my grandmother has a lot of cut glass and it can have very small cracks and nicks so be sure to check for those because they can be easy to miss and a hassle if you sell something with them and it has to be returned.

Like the Last person said, some people pay gobs of money for serial numbered fenton glassworks. Its crazy what people are paying for that type of stuff. However, to each their own I guess.
