I am looking at the springfield xd series.

A lot of people say to go for a 9mm for now and then in a year or so go for a .40 or .45 acp. (all roughly cost the same, maybe a $10.00 difference). But I also have a glock 9mm so I am thinking of something bigger but on the other hand that glock is about 15 years old (I would be using this gun for practice and concealed carry and work armed security/law enforcement) so I am not sure which one to go for.

I went into a "discount gun" store and the guy wanted $689.00 for a USED springfield xd yet I have found them anywhere NEW for $429-$479. I hate people that try to take advantage of other people.

Headin' to the range now. Man ammo is scarce around here, looks like I'll only put 100 or so rounds through it today. Obama and Pelosi should be up for gun salesman/woman of the year.
