But I usually opt for sausage, pepperoni, onion and garlic

Sausage is more versitile. Peperoni is only good on pizza or in a sandwich with salami.

I went with peperoni on pizza. In general, I would take sausage.

Pepperoni is more reliable. Sausage when done correctly is the best. Unfortunately, good sausage is rare.
