Did you get your flu shot?
Still waiting to get mine... How about you?
I work at a pharmacy....the last two weeks have been painful with all the flu shots plus new insurances...oh and I didn't get one even though mine is paid for by the company.
Nope, if I want the Flu Virus I'll just catch it like everybody else, naturally.
Never got one
Flu shot is useless unless you are elderly or have a poor ass immune system.
Haven't gotten a fly shot since high school. Possibly even before then.
I don't plan on getting one. Haven't been sick for over 3 years. I 'get sick' to miss school, but it's not often. So no, I haven't gotten a flu shot
Flu shots are worthless. There are multiple strands of the Flu virus every year. The shot only protects against one strand, not all of them like people seem to think.
i have not taken the flu shot but have not been sick that badly
I got mine thank god. A bunch of people at my job are rocked right now with the flu. One lady has it so bad she is in intensive care. She has really bad Asthma on top of it. I feel bad for her, she is a nice lady.
I had to the hospital I do clinicals at requires every student to have it.
They aren't worthless. Even if they do protect against one strain of the flu, that is still one strain you are potentially protected against... not to mention the experience your immune system gets from kicking some flu as&. Anyway, the guy I share a computer with at work recently had the flu and I managed to avoid it. I'm not saying that my flu shot is the neccessarily the reason but perhaps.
I had one. Also got the whooping cough one. We had a baby October 22th and they stress the benefits. My wife works at a hospital and is forced the get the vaccine or she will be terminated. Unfortunately in 2010 she had a miscarriage 2 weeks after receiving the shot. Turns out when H1N1 was prevalent they loaded the vaccines with mercury. Shame.
I got one and have gotten one every year since I can remember.
The flu is really bad this year and all the hospitals in my area are full. There was a 40 year old, former HS and college wrestler, who died from complications of the flu last week. The family was devastated. |
i never get the shot with the exception of when I worked in a hospital as a transporter while in college. They required it. I got sick every time, too.
I rarely get the flu without getting the shot now that i don't work in the hospital. |
I didn't get the flu shot, but I got the flu :(
Got mine in September. I know it isn't a perfect system, but I get it anyway. Whatever will happen will happen.

That is why everyone, regardless of age gets the flu right? Because we all have "poor ass immune systems"?
Flu shots are worthless. There are multiple strands of the Flu virus every year. I guarantee you that if you contracted H1N1, you would be wishing you had just gotten the shot. If you want good information about the flu shot, here is a great site. Sorry to hear that |

That's why my wife and I get it. Her mom has Lupus. Flu was running rampant an my wife's work. 2 dozen people missed a week or more of work. My wife get it but not as bad. She missed 2 days. I have not been sick |

SORRY FOR YOUR LOSS.. But they had thimersoal which has trace amounts of mercury. Not anywhere near enough to cause any issues with the baby. Correlation does not equal causation |
The only flu shot I rememebr getting was around 2009 with the whole swine flu thing going on. Other than that, no I dont get shot

CDC - Seasonal Influenza (Flu) - Q & A: Seasonal Flu Shot
There is a lot of evidence and studies that conclude that the flu shot does not do as well as led to believe. I'd hardly recommend looking at the CDC for information. Money is the biggest driver for the flu shot, not stopping the flu epidemics. Every year there is a different strain that ends up turning into an epidemic. |
Nope...I'm paranoid that I'll just get the flu if I take it. So far (knock on wood) I've been flu-free without it!
