need help for my american legion...

the national american legion is looking for a new tagline " slogan" for the american legion. the prize is $500.00 which we could really use for a new front door thats in very bad shape. i know there are some very smart members here that could help with slogan ideas. so who got a good slogan???

how about "It's better than being in the Foreign Legion"

on the link their motto is "for god and country"... whats wrong with that?

what legion post do you belong to ...as a paying member of yearly dues your membership $$ is supposed to cover those types of maintenance expenses and if the door is in horrible shape has anyone ever brought this up to the board?

sorry not trying to bash your post or anything just saying my local post does all sorts with membership $ and even do fundraisers/events like 250 drawings, meat drawings etc..to support the community and the club.

Its a very small post. #0538. We just put in to new bathrooms paid for my donations, but now the door is an issue. The locksmith says about $1'500 should handle it, and we just dont have it. The $500 would really help but im sure a long shot. Not to many regular veteran members around to raise money.
