Default Need help: Microsoft Access 2010

hello, recently I got a long term teacher position for computers. it is for a middle school where I am teaching: Excel, photoshop, illustrator, and access.

M$ access is the only program I'm not that familiar with but I did just buy a book so I can take a quick course. To me, access is a dying program since many people do not own access anymore. Working in a retail store, I can count on one hand how many people have asked for access in the past 3 years.

Anyway,

Does anybody have any ideas on what I can teach the kids in access?

thanks in advance

I created my card database in MS Access. Bring some base cards to class, and give each kid 15 or 20. Have them create the database tables, create data entry report, maybe teach th queries with it?

Database theory.
Relational database design.

I created a database for my cards once upon a time...then I created another one that I could use to import a csv file from Zistle.

Lots of things you can do with a database, just not a lot of things that the average person really needs to do.

I agree with the post above mine...in that order, theory then design.

You can also create some low-level data entry applications using forms, in addition to what has already been mentioned.
