This is my first poll and it's a very good one! My personal choice is a Mustang because I drive a 66 Coupe.

Yeah it all depends, I've personally driven all the 2010-2012 models and I'll give a edge to the mustang - the new cameros have a ton of blind spots and IMO don't handle as well as the mustang. But if we are talking older cars/specific years then it all depends.

Mustangs all the way. New Camaros are ugly when stock, and only good ones are the late 60's ones.
My favorite mustangs are Eleanor, and the 99-04 body. Best friend has a 2003 Terminator that is outrageous. 650hp and faster than any car around here. Needless to say its a beautiful work of art on rubber. His dad, to keep in touch with the thread lol, has a 69 Camaro. It's not street legal though |

I like some of both of them, I like the early years in the late 60s of the camaro and the 78-81 models of them as well however the other years do nothing for me, as for the mustang the mid to late 60s are ok to me but nothing after that do I have any interest in. If we were going straight across which one do you like better overall I would have to go Mustang for their dominance in the 60s with GT500s 500krs ect ect

Year/Model = irrelevant.
Camaro > Mustang all day. Just like Chevy > Ford all day.

The current generation Mustang destroys the cartoonish Camaro. Ford > Chevy > Dodge at least as far as muscle cars and pickup trucks go. |

Don't get me wrong....there were a few Mustang models I'd give my right you-know-what to own/drive. I've just had a stronger allegiance to Chevy over the years...maybe because I drove a CHEVELLE and my cousin drove a NOVA
![]() Overall, though...at the end of the day, if it rumbles and leaves behind dark streaks of rubber on pavement, I'm into it. Muscle cars, FTW!

Any year Camaro is better than the best year Mustang. Mustang has always been a failure of design.

Challenger is the best looking American sports car (after Viper) to appear in the last decade. I'm glad that Dodge listened to their fans and made the appropriated modifications after the disapproval of the redesigned Charger.

The Charger should never been a sedan IMO, but I'm indifferent about it as a sedan. Also a little off topic(but we in the off topic section anyways) but I never get why the RAM trucks management decides to differentiate themselves from Dodge...

This debate will go on for generations. I'm a mustang guy, on my 5th mustang currently an 07 Roush 427R.
By far you have to check on the year(s) of the vehicles you're discussing. Mustangs are currently better than the Camaro's ie: Power HP/TQ, Suspension/Handling, Looks/Body, Etc I've always like Camaro's though, and for the longest they were the best of the 2 cars. Ford didn't get anything close for years until the 03 Cobra came out and with the 04 Cobra mustangs had 2 good years. Then they struggled a bit with the new body styles in 05+ with power/weight ratio's, handling, etc. Slowly started getting better but yet with most complaints with Ford was POWER, the mustang was almost always underpowered compared to many others...Camaro, TransAM, Etc. Then 2010 the newer style mustang came out with just a little bit more power from the 05-09's but then boom..Camaro was back! Issue with the Camaro's though was weight, alot of complaints even with the power they put down the weight of the vehicles were dragging them down. Once again though, 2011 Mustang 5.0 was back and has been holding strong since. I almost got one, great cars with alot of potential if you like toying around like I do

The old school muscle versions of the Camaro from the 60s are sick. Can't say I have ever really liked mustangs. The mechanics I have talked to over the years have always said to never buy a Ford. I test drove a mustang one time and that was enough for me to stick with Chevy. I also believe Chevy has a much better engine in the LS series (recent models). Honestly, I think both pale in comparison to corvettes though. I love mine.
