Default Valentines Day Gifts

With Valentines Day just around the corner, Im interested to know what you're getting your significant other.

I'm getting my girl:

A framed poem I wrote for her
A rose
A teddy bear
Manicure and a hair cut
Box of white chocolate covered strawberries (Godiva)
Dinner

And last but certainly not least.... A box of cards

Chocolate
A small gift from the kids
A gift card to his favorite lunch spot
A bj

Let me save you some money Josie. The last item on your list is all that is required to satisfy your man.

How long have you been together? Can't even make fun of you for that. Seems like she'll really enjoy all of that.

My first Valentine with my wife (when we were still dating), she told me a week before "I'm not getting you anything, so don't get me anything." "I'm serious, don't get me anything. It's a waste of money. If you want I'll make you dinner and you can give me a massage." Turns out she hates flowers, doesn't like jewelry or stuffed animals. At first I thought she was full of it but no she was serious.

Absolutely

Guys don't need chocolates, beer, cards, etc. A simple BJ will suffice for any holiday.

Heck, that's why I look forward to having babies. That's six weeks of bliss right after child birth.

First V Day with my current GF

1.) I'm currently in the process of making her a valentines day card (I was an art major, so might as well)
2.) Stuffed Animal, a Rose and some White chocolate
3.) And maybe take her to Disneyland

You know there's two holes down there, and only one is off limits after child birth......

I like my wife knocked up, because then I can plow the field and not worry about pulling out and ruining it

i am giving:

a trip to philly for a night on the town @ one of her favorite bars
a nice long jacuzi session with candles and such

every monday is a massage (from me) day for her
i don't require her to get me anything for v-day, last year she got me a blaster and i was thrilled.

p.s.- every sunday is bj day at my house

Not a damn thing. Thankfully my wife agrees with me about how dumb valentines day is.

Did she specifically ask for that?

Hey don't sweat it, my wife got a single serve coffee maker for Christmas, a set of pyrex measuring cups, and some rachel ray muffin tins. All of those presents benefit me

We don't care about material items anymore, just trying to raise a family

Same for my girlfriend, I usually make dinner and we watch a movie, overall Vday is a huge waste. I don't knock anyone for participating, but when you are on a budget I don't need a calendar to tell me I have to drop 2 c-notes on dinner and flowers to prove I love my girlfriend, and then at the end of the month wonder why we can't afford to go out

I got distracted by my boys and forgot what I was going to say.

LOL exactly. My wife enjoys fine dining but around Valentine's Day, it's ridiculous. Restaurants hike up the prices but hide it by making it a "special", plus you have to deal with the crowds.

Oh and by fine dining I mean Applebees.

I actually refuse to go out on Vday for those reasons. Also, I don't like getting over priced roses.
