Click on Account Settings.
Go to the Album Settings tab. Under Links you will see numerous check boxes. Add a check to IMG thumb. This will provide the thumbnail link below each of your images for easy copy and paste. I wish more people used that feature. |

I generally resize pictures to 640x480 or 320x240 before uploading. (invert for for vertical cards) |

(invert for for vertical cards)
This method you do not lose the detail of your scan/photo, but it makes the thread you post in easier to navigate. The thumbs are shown and one can click on them to see the detailed image. Scrolling through a thread of dozens of images sizes is not my idea of fun. |
switch to picasa. The link for the image has a portion near the end that is 's' followed by the size in pixels.
If the image I want to put here is: https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-xCeUM3G2OmY/TH54e9n544I/AAAAAAAABes/ChBpH_qjKXA/s731/IMG_4327.JPG that s731 is the size. I simply change it to s500 and blam! it's reduced to the exact size I want to present in the thread.
