Try your best to avoid being shot. I would consider that a successful weekend.

when is the national?

I would suggest a ballgame at both ball parks. Also stay as far out as you can but still catch a ride on the rails into town.

Don't ask me how much I want to offer. Come with a price in mind. If I don't want it or think it's worth that, I will let you know.

why would you stay as far out as possible? Hillside for example is ten to fifteen minute drive from the actual city or ten to fifteen from Rosemont depending on traffic. Hillside is a quick five minute drive to Berkley where'd you'd catch the L. Five minutes furthur out and you'd be in Oakbrook and so on. However, you can be closer to the city and stay on Oak Park, etc. It's fine in all of those locations. I just don't understand why you'd want to stay far away from everything.

With a pencil. Firearms are disallowed. Nobody has them since they are illegal.

When there are red squiggly lines under 80% of your post it's time to start proof reading...

There's supposed to be a Bob Newhart statue that my gf wants to find next time we are in Chicago. We saw the Fonz statue in Milwaukee a couple years ago, so that is next on our list.

The Field Museum and Museum of Science and Industry are fun. They are renovating the Shedd Aquarium which is cool if you like fish. Stay away from U.S. cellular field after dark( yes I'm a Sox fan ). If you go to Wrigley sit in the bleachers or the rooftops for the best time, and check out Soldier field where the UFO crashed I haven't tried it yet, but i hear the haunted chicago tour is good also.

Above all else the food.
