Default Safest...

I have an Apple Store nearby and that would be the best. I guess any major dept. store like Best Buy or Walmart would be okay if you don't need support.
I'm using mine to type this and they are really cool and easy to use.
Best Always,

You can order it right off apple.com (got mine there) and during checkout process you have option to buy the protection plan and such. Took a few days to get mine

Is it the apple warranty from walmart? If not I'd go with apple (you just call in explains and they ship you a new one and send another back) i would use apple warranty most

the walmart warranty is 2 yrs and covers everything...drop it or whatever...they just swap out with another one..i'm guessing another refurb...i assume the refurbs are from apple because the reviews say they are boxed and sealed like a new one...3rd party insurance not from apple or walmart...but i've used it before on a TV i bought and had no problems.

Best place to get one = apple store

Best price to get one = Staples.

Staples has online coupons that show up once in a while. Like a $50 off if you spend over $xxx amount. The best thing about Staples coupons? Its the only place I know where you can "stack" them. Stacking is taking mulitple coupons and stacking them ontop of one another. So get a 20% off your purchase plus a $50 off will give you maximum discounts.

Most likely, just decide which one youd like. Also I'd check out SAMs club if you have a membership (purchased tv that was 400 and got a three year warranty for 50$..said i could beat the tv myself and I'd get a brand new one free lol)

$70 for an extra year though? think its worth that? if its going to break from something defective i would think it would break in the first year...and my mom wont really carry it around or anything...going to get her a keyboard for it and it will probably be on the desk most of the time.

I wouldn't pay 70 for an extra year if its already got the year. I didnt even bother purchasing one with my ipad 3 (you have year from purchase date to buy one) and if anything happens in first year its covered

Did you check out that new store on State Street- CitiMac? Don't know anything about their prices but I think they provide service if needed.

Have you ever purchased a deal from them? Reading a lot of iffy things about that site.

These aren't brand new either:

Condition: Recertified
Packaging: Box
Warranty: 90 Day
Brand: Apple
