I was just there this past weekend for a bachelor party. Go the station square or Carson street for the best night life.

Check out a restaurant/bar called "Burgatory". Pretty good burgers and great milkshakes.

This is a must. Station Square is a must after dark. The theater scene is great in Pittsburgh if that's your kind of thing, check out a show!. You will love PNC Park.

South Side has some great bars. Just do not talk to any homeless people. Trust me on that. Also Station Square is a good place to hang out at. Hard Rock Café is down there (cant remember the other ones since they have changed names). That is where I went for my bachelor party. I lived near the city for 26 years. Like everyone else said, go to Primanti's. There is one down on Carson Street. You can also venture down to the Strip District (not what you think). They have a couple bars and the Primanti's down there is my favorite.

May not be your thing, but there are bunch of pretty cool musuems.
Plus, there is also Rivers Casino, right next to Heinz Field. If your a baseball fan, you could to the University of Pittsburgh and see the remaining wall from Forbes Field where Mazeroski hit the homerun. In a classroom building, they have homeplate in the floor where it was when the stadium was up.

Theyre pretty good milkshakes.
The one in Robinson is near a place called "Latitude 40", its a sports bar/bowling alley/arcade. http://latitude40pitt.com/ Its a little pricey, but its cool.

Might also recommend the Waterfront. For "Nightlife" it's not necessarily the best, but there is a Sing-Sing down there as well as a Dave and Busters. I am not up there much for night life, but the Southside is nice as well.
