Strasburg - great story... It's always memorable and exciting to come home from long days of hard work, and see Cammie (my pup) running down the steps and walk around the kitchen island table to the mud room (while I take my coat or shoes off). She would be sooo happy to see me. I would pet her for no time! And then whenever I say upstairs, she would be gone in less than a second... Waiting for me to walk up the steps for more pet, and wait for me to change before taking her out for a nice stroll around the neighborhood...

Awesome pictures, everyone - keep them coming!!! Definitely brightens my morning, and you guys made me miss my girl!

Probably my fave pic I took: Can you see her?!?

Family time!

Merry Christmas!

Those are awesome looking. Are they hard to keep clean? I love my dog. He just turned 9 yrs. old. Had him since birth. You cannot even walk by house without him knowing. He is the eyes and ears of our home and always on point. My dog would follow me to the gates of hell if thats what it took to protect me,100% Loyalty.

A friend of mine heard about a co-worker who basically abandoned 4 dogs in her backyard. We met up with my friend at this house, and before we know it we are trying to a fit a St Bernard into the back seat of my wifes Hyundai.

Her name is Sadie, and after 2 operations in the first 6 months of us rescuing her she is finally healthy and comes in at a respectable 112#. And if you are wondering, she is a Short-hair.

This is her lying in a stand-up shower.

Their both house dogs I was just out throwing a tennis ball for them during this picture. Shepherds are one of the most loyal IMO I've grew up around shepherds all my life. As for keeping them clean I'm not sure, haha I'm sure (Bella) the white one needs her paws cleaned before coming in the house

This is pretty funny. We too have a Yorkie named Saydee. Ours has quite an issue with anxiety. We also have a Yorkie named Buckeye, and a rescue named Brutus.

Here's a picture of my son trying to ride Brutus.

its a long story, but the short version is... i was living with a girlfriend in a 2 br condo, we were getting ready to move into a house in the next month or so and we made the mistake of going into a pet store. She talked me into getting her saying that we would be in a house with a yard in under a month, and she wasn't going to be waiting at the store for that long... So we jumped the gun and bought her. Fast forward several months later and we are finally getting ready to move house, i get ready to leave the condo to go turn in my signed lease agreement for the house when my wonderful gf said she didnt think she wanted to be together any more.

Ripped up the lease and raised her for a few more months in my condo alone until i felt it just wasnt fair for her to be trapped in my house all day by herself. I contacted a Doberman rescue and asked if they had room for her. when i got her there the owner of the rescue hit it off with her instantly and insisted that she stay in their house until a family comes to adopt her.

She was there for 2 days. A family that had adopted 2 other Dobermans from the rescue got her and she lives with them now, in a much happier and healthier environment.

it broke my heart to let her go, but i had to do what was right.

That's awesome man. It's nice to hear about individuals helping out abandoned pets and glad to hear she is doing well now. We almost brought home a Husky, but you know how temperamental Akitas can be haha. I definitely want to get another one, but they are hard to find and expensive.
