At the professional level, which sport/position is easiest? Hardest?
-Baseball (Position Player) -Baseball (Pitcher) -Football (QB) -Football (HB, TE, WR) -Football (Lineman) -Football (LB or DB) -Football (K or P) -Basketball -Hockey (non-goalie) -Hockey (goalie) -Soccer (Non-goalie) -Soccer (Goalie) -Tennis -Boxing -Golf I think baseball position player hardest, kicker or punter easiest. |

HOCKEY
I understand you might not know about hockey but its like playing baseball, using your legs like you do in basketball and getting hit like you do in football all while being on skates.

I've always felt being a goalie in the NHL would be extremely difficult

Depends what you mean by hardest. Physically demanding? Hockey for sure. Most skill required? I'd say hitting a baseball.

Even skill wise I think hockey, your skating full speed keeping control of a puck while avoiding guys trying to kill you and then trying to score on a guy whose job is to not let you lol.

True. Hockey may require the most overall skill. Though i still think hitting a round ball with a round bat that's coming at you 95mph or moving all over the place is the single hardest thing to do.

Well in that case, skating at high speed, and whacking a puck that is moving in a different direction at even more speed, at a tiny goal 30 feet away at even MORE SPEED, through a 1" gap between the giant goalie's arm and his side...

I don't think you can lump all baseball position players to one...catchers have an especially grueling job.

As much as I absolutely hate soccer I have to admit that it's probably the hardest sport to play. Non-stop running. I always use to think it was golf or maybe hockey but I have to go with soccer.

Not really on stop, their are 11 players on the field for both teams so it's kind of like short bursts when you have the ball. Each player has their zone/position they cover.

I think you're severely under estimating the endurance you need to be a professional soccer player.

I guess speaking from experience you are half right and half wrong. Are there times when the player isn't running yeah, but they are constantly moving and having to be ready because just like other sports it only takes one mistake or play for everything to change. Players have positions, but when you start getting into the higher levels of competition they don't necessarily have zones to cover. Players are constantly switching with others on the field. Then there is also the midfielder who covers the entire field. During a 90 minute game, a midfielder will, on average, run about 6 miles. And its not like they are just going out for a 6 mile jog since they have to sprint at times as well. Its much more complicated than you think

I would say baseball player. And for one of the worst jobs in the sports? NFL Kicker. Most of them get no attention when they are doing good, but when they miss that one big kick they are without a job

Every position in baseball is easy as long as you take steroids.
Football, just hope you are born 6'5 300pounds, and you can be fat and still be considered an athlete, easy job. In basketball, just hope you are born 7ft, and maybe you get a max contract, mess up your knees and get paid. Soccer, lol Goalie, Not goalie. haha... Hockey, what is that? Tennis looks fun. Golf is a hobby. Boxing probably requires the most dedication physically wise. Nascar though......
