As much as I hate remakes, I like what they've done with the upgrades on the monsters. Those monsters are pretty cool. It's a story many kids have never been told. It was made in 1981, so most kids have probably never seen the original. This one might scare the pants off a few of them too. Especially that Medusa. She scared the living shizzle out of me as a kid.

One of the first dvds I bought was of the original movie. I loved it so much as a kid, especially since I was a huge fan of mythology. Once again, Hollywood shows that original ideas and non-sequels are getting harder and harder to come by.

I always think it's interesting when once in a while an actor "hits" and is in everything. Sam Worthington is that guy right now after Terminator and with Avatar and this one upcoming.
By the way, I'm not sure about everyone else, but I have ZERO interest in Avatar. I'm a huge techie nerd so you'd think I'd be into it on that level at least but I think it just looks completely stupid. |

I think the behind the scenes of Avatar is more impressive then the movie itself.

Speaking of monsters, have you seen the trailer for the new Wolfman movie with Benny DelToro ? I saw the trailer months ago for that and Shutter Island but they don't come out until after the New Year. Wonder if huge budget movies are being hyped early and held back til after the New Year in the hopes the economy gets better ?

Looks Good.
I Still Love the original. This was the first movie I saw with my dad in the movie theatre. I was 11 or 12 years old.

Didn't know they were doing a "Clash" remake......one of my early favorites as well. Also, I have to agree on Avatar. I have NO interest in it. Could it end up being one of the biggest bombs ever? Probably not, but for all the hype, it seems like it needs to be HUGE to be considered successful.

I have no desire to see avitar, just the trailer annoyed me.
But I heard it cost the 300 million to make and another 200 million to market So they are in the hole for 500 mill before anything. lol Good Luck with that.
