Default Best Margarita Recipe

Alright so I like to drink tequila. I like to sip reposado occasionally but I am posting this to see what people think is the best margarita recipe.

As of right now heres my recipe. I think its pretty good but something is missing. Maybe its just the ratios.

100% blue agave blanco tequila (1.5 oz)
Cointreau (.5 oz)
sweetened lime juice (1.5+ oz) (from a bottle) - maybe should do freshly squeezed? and use something to sweeten it?

What recipes do others use?

i love margaritas, drink them way more than i should but here's my go to

6 ounces of 1800 tequila
2 ounces of triple sec
6 ounces frozen limeade
a splash of orange juiece, maybe 1/2 ounce
sometimes i get crazy and put sugar on the rim instead of salt

it's so simple yet so delicious

1.5 oz Cuervo gold tequila
5 oz Margaritaville margarita mix
1 oz Margaritaville white tequila
juice of half lime
.5 oz blue curacao

Combine above elements in shaker with ice, pour into salt rimmed glass.

Float .5 oz. of 1800 tequila on top

I bartend and don't really care for Margaritas but.......................this recipe damn good. We are known for our fresh squeezed OJ drinks so I tweaked this one over the years.

Key is the Fresh Squeezed OJ.

Ultimate Orange Maragrita
2 Shots of Patron or other high end silver Teq
1 Shot Grand Marnier
Optional 1/2 Shot of Cointreau or Triple Sec (I omit this most of the time)
1 Part Rita Mix
2 Parts Fresh OJ

Shake vigorously and served in a 20oz cup!!!

Two of these beeches on the beach and it's hammer time!!

I make some frozen limeade concentrate but leave out about a half cup of water so it's a little more sour. Two shots tequila, one shot cointreau, limeade to taste
