Default Very thankful for life at the present time...

Has anyone else ever felt this way?

I'm very thankful for life. Been working 30-35+ hours a week at my part time job & have been very busy on ebay for the past couple months. Been very successful in flipping group breaks & things are looking up.

My mind is also a lot better -- Used to struggle with anxiety quite a bit & struggled with controlling addictions. I'm seeing the addictions walk out the door & things are going much smoother.

Guess I could say this -- If anyone struggles with fears & anxiety -- Keep doing what you fear. You eventually will realize how stupid the things you used to worry about are & not want to worry about them anymore.

At least that is what is going on with me.

Great to hear things are looking up for you, Ben. It's been a long time coming. Keep your head up and your faith focused, and nothing will be a challenge. You are a wonderful contributor to this Board, and a great spirit.

Glad to hear it Ben. Anxiety is a struggle to deal with, I've done it for years. Glad you could pull yourself through it - things just get better.

Happy to hear you're happy

Atta boy Ben. I wish a lot of the "victims" here could be as positive as you.

Glad to hear, man. I've been fighting a constant battle of depression. I don't go to see any psychologists..It's bad I know..but lately been feeling the same way. Got great grades in school (never expected to finish my semester like that), finally got a job, and just feel better. Obviously I still fight once in a while with myself..but slowly slowly things are changing! Keep your head up bro!

Thanks for all the love. And to what SPauthentic84 said, Positive thinking goes a long way. I had a friend in my life recently who taught me quite a bit of positive thinking, mainly the fact that if you worry about something you have no control over, why worry about it? It just takes over your mind & consumes you.

So I've been trying to figure out things that keep my thoughts focused on good things -- Anyone have any ideas?

Yeah, that is what I've been learning too. However, it is so tough. My mind wants to race to the next big thing in my life, often stealing my joy that I can have today.

Pray for patience, brother, but with that in mind, understand that you WILL be tested. I made that "mistake" a few years back, but can tell you that it has been more than worth it.

Hey,

I have forward progress to report!

I'm really excited right now because I gave up another bit of anxiety.

Really was anxious and worrying quite a bit about a fear that I had, and realized that I didn't want to be in that spot. Repented of the worry & My brain relaxed again. I felt so peaceful going home on the bus, it was so restful, without worrying & fretting.

God is truly good. Very blessed to have this healing in my life.

Amen, Trust in him for all your wants, offer up to him all your fears. As the hymn goes "Be not afraid". Glad you are focused and doing well!

Thanks. Keep hanging in there. The thing I've been learning is to not let circumstances ruin your mood. If its raining outside, don't let that dictate your day -- Keep living on the path that is right & you'll get out of the slump you are in.

You may grow out of it. I struggled with anxiety for 6 years before I realized how silly it is to worry. We sometimes have to come to our own senses & realize how short life is. Too short to allow worry & fear to come into our lives.
